TRIBECA FLASHPOINT SUMMER 2017 KICKSTART SCHOLARSHIP
New students enrolling to begin classes at Tribeca Flashpoint College during the July 2017 term will be considered for this scholarship valued at $2,000. In order to be eligible, a student must be a first-time attendee enrolled full-time* in an on-campus program. Recipients of this scholarship must also demonstrate academic potential by meeting admissions requirements and gaining acceptance to the college. Eligible students will have two award options from which to choose: a computer meeting the current Tribeca Flashpoint College published specifications with required software or a scholarship award up to $2,000. The scholarship will be applied in two equal installments within the first academic year.
TRIBECA FLASHPOINT COLLEGE OPPORTUNITY GRANT
Tribeca Flashpoint College is pleased to offer a needs-based, institutional grant for on-ground and online students enrolling August 2016 through October 2017. Through the Tribeca Flashpoint Opportunity Grant, the College will contribute a 100% match (up to $5,920 in match dollars) on each eligible incoming student’s Pell Grant award. In order to be eligible, a student must have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) of 1000 or below post-verification (if selected), and must be Pell eligible.
TRIBECA FLASHPOINT ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
New students enrolling October 2016 through the 2017 calendar year will automatically be considered for our merit-based scholarship up to $20,000 total for bachelor’s degree-seeking students and $6,000 total for associate degree-seeking students. Amounts will be distributed over four years for a bachelor’s program (e.g. $2,000 AY1; $4,000 AY2; $6,000 AY3; and $8,000 AY4 for a total of $20,000) and two years for an associate program (e.g. $2,000 AY1; and $4,000 AY2 for a total of $6,000). Amounts will be prorated based on any incoming transfer credit. Eligibility requirements include a CGPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale at enrollment, from high school or a post-secondary institution and full-time status*. For continued eligibility students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher each term at Tribeca Flashpoint.
TRIBECA FLASHPOINT COLLEGE ONLINE ACHIEVEMENT SCHOLARSHIP
New bachelor’s degree-seeking students enrolling in Tribeca Flashpoint College’s online degree programs between October 2016 and the 2017 calendar year will automatically be considered for our merit-based scholarship up to $10,000. Amounts will be distributed on a cumulative basis over four years (e.g. $1,000 AY1; $2,000 AY2; $3,000 AY3; and $4,000 AY4 for a total of $10,000) and will be prorated based on any incoming transfer credit. Eligibility requirements include a CGPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale at enrollment, from high school or a post-secondary institution, and full-time status*. For continued eligibility, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher each term at Tribeca Flashpoint.
TRIBECA FLASHPOINT ALUMNI SCHOLARSHIP
Students who graduate from Tribeca Flashpoint in May 2017 or earlier are eligible for a special scholarship aimed at recognizing their achievements and supporting their future educational and career goals. The $5,000 Tribeca Flashpoint Alumni Scholarship will be applied in two equal installments within the first year of enrollment into a TFC on-ground or online bachelor’s program. Students must enroll and maintain full-time enrollment in the program.
LOCAL TWO RECORDING ARTS SCHOLARSHIP
Students enrolled in the AAS in Recording Arts program are eligible to apply for this essay based scholarship. One scholarship is awarded per year. The application deadline is July 1 of each calendar year.
The Local Two Recording Arts Scholarship carries a value up to $20,000 per academic year. The amount of the scholarship award will be determined by the tuition and fees charged per term minus the gift aid in the recipient’s award.
The student must maintain full-time enrollment for the entire course of the academic year to remain eligible. Scholarship originating credit balances as the result of changes to course loads or other funding will be retained on the student’s ledger and applied to the subsequent term(s) until exhausted. The scholarship is nontransferable and has no redeemable cash value.
EARLY Acceptance SCHOLARSHIP
Students who apply between August 1, 2016 and December 30, 2016 and are entering their senior year of high school in Fall 2016 who are accepted for Summer or Fall 2017 enrollment at Tribeca Flashpoint College by January 15, 2017 may be eligible to receive the Early Acceptance Scholarship for up to $5,000 for bachelor’s degree-seeking students and $2,500 for associate degree-seeking students. The scholarship will be distributed equally over each year of study.
In addition to gaining acceptance to Tribeca Flashpoint College, prospective students must complete the below additional steps by December 30, 2016 in order to be eligible for the Early Acceptance Scholarship.
- Complete the financial aid process, if applying for federal aid
- Attend at least one TFC event by December 30, 2016. The event can be an open house or campus tour (unless the prospective student is an online student).
- Submit a $250 deposit
Students who fail to complete all of the above steps will be disqualified from consideration for the Early Application Scholarship. For continued eligibility for this scholarship beyond year one, students must meet SAP, be in good standing with the school, and maintain full-time status in their program. Award amounts will be prorated for transfer credits.
